before we work together
let's cover the boring stuff
How Will We Work Together?
Whether it’s a business pursuit or a personal hobby, I dedicate my time, focus, and energies to the task at hand 100 percent—no room for distractions.
That’s why I would like to clear up a few things before we begin working together to get your site soaring in the SERPs.
We will start with a full site, content, and backlink audit as well as competitor analysis. We will also look at your traffic and earnings/conversions. From there I will decide whether you’re the right client for me.
That may sound harsh, but as my time is limited, I can only take on a handful of clients. I’m only looking to work with people who have the potential for significant results and those who need my help most. I’m not looking to be a babysitter for your site.
If after an initial analysis I decide a collaboration is a good idea, I will put together a 90-day step-by-step plan that reflects your goals.
It’s essential that expectations are clear on both sides of the board.
Of course, you need to know exactly what SEO with Jenny offers—and there’s plenty of information about how I operate here.
At the same time, an unfortunate reality is unrealistic expectations can put a damper on the whole process. If you’re anticipating results that simply aren’t feasible for where your site is, neither of us will be happy.
Remember that experience does not translate into miracle-working and give it due time to take effect. There may be fluctuations as changes are implemented before success is apparent—SEO work isn’t instantaneous.
I respect that everyone has their own set of ideas about SEO. I’m a Diggity fangirl myself—no shame there!
Still, if you’re trusting SEO with Jenny to take your site to the next level, I do ask that you stay open to suggestions.
I wouldn’t advise any course of action that could be detrimental to your site. My goal is to get you site-proud and profiting, not bitter and bankrupt.
Maybe something is a little different from what you’ve heard or read about, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t effective.
Give me a chance to use tried-and-true techniques that I have used on my own sites as well as numerous others. Of course, I respect that it’s your site and I’m playing the role of consultant—but if you want to hire me on to implement your own strategies that weren’t quite working in the first place, you won’t get the best value for your money.
I hate to bring this up, but it’s important to clear the air about this before we begin.
My time is billable: please communicate wisely.
It’s easy to get carried away discussing an awesome strategy, I know—I’ve done it myself. Or, perhaps you want clarification on the exact details of what I’m doing for your site on any given day.
I wholeheartedly get that: but, at the same time, I only have a set amount of hours to dedicate to each project. That’s why I provide an in-depth report of all my activities and the resultant improvements at the end of the month.
If you want to spend five hours out of a six-hour service on Skype calls and back-and-forth in emails, I’ll be happy to communicate with you.
However, there will only be one hour left for me to manage the SEO part of the service. That significantly limits what I can accomplish in terms of actual progress.
